Information that reaches us
Server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These support security and are deleted on a rolling schedule.
Whatever you include in an email to us, for example your name, address and message.
One small value saved in your browser's session storage when you dismiss the offer banner, so it stays hidden while you browse.
What we do not collect
There are no user accounts on VivaVictoria.ca, so we never ask for passwords, payment details or identity documents. We do not run advertising trackers on our own pages and do not combine visits into marketing profiles. We have no access to anything you share with a casino after leaving this site, including deposits, game history or verification documents.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, whether operators, data brokers or advertisers.
The site has no comment forms, newsletter sign-up or chat widget, so the only way personal details reach us is if you decide to send them by email.
How the information is used
Server logs help us keep the site online, detect abuse such as automated scraping or attacks, and understand in broad, aggregate terms which pages people find useful. Nobody at VivaVictoria.ca reviews logs to follow an individual reader's activity.
Emails are used only to answer the question you asked, investigate a correction or deal with a privacy request. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to resolve the matter and keep a sensible record of it.
Cookies and casino links
Our own pages do not set advertising cookies. The session storage value mentioned above is not a cookie, is not sent to our servers and disappears once you close the browser tab or window.
When you follow a link to a casino or payment provider, you move to a website we do not control. That business, and any affiliate tracking service it uses to record the referral, may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We recommend reading that policy before you register, and you can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete any personal information you have sent us. Write to contact@vivavictoria.ca, ideally from the same address you used before, so we can locate the messages. We aim to respond within a reasonable time and will tell you if we need anything further to confirm your identity.
If you live in Canada and are not satisfied with how we handled your request, you may raise the matter with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security and retention
Access to our email inbox and hosting account is limited to the people who maintain the site, and those accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step sign-in where the provider offers it. No system is perfectly secure, so we deliberately avoid holding sensitive information in the first place.
Server logs are removed automatically on a rolling basis. Emails are deleted once a matter is closed and no longer needs a record, or sooner if you ask us to remove them.
Minors
VivaVictoria.ca is intended for adults of legal gambling age in their province: 19 in most of Canada and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. We do not knowingly receive information from minors. If you believe a young person has emailed us, contact us and we will delete the message.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle data changes, for example because we add a new tool to the site, we will revise this page and update the date shown at the top. Significant changes will be described here in the same plain language.
